Dobby and his sock.

When I spotted Dobby, my first thought was "He needs a sock!" Last night, I took care of that.

Farmer's Market

To mark the first day of the Farmer's Market, I dropped off some carrots (or are they orange peppers?)...hey, it was 1am when I finished these. Give me a break.

More yarn bombing stories in the news.

Knitters go guerilla - drop yarn bombs

Names you need to know: yarn bombing

Knit stalker: yarn bombing puts public fixtures in stitches

We need your help!

Our local library is celebrating National Knit in Public Day on Saturday, June 11.  It is also National Yarn Bombing Day, so we will be yarn bombing the library...inside & out. There are projects of all sizes, so even if you're a beginner, you can help us.

Here's a list of what we need, from smallest to largest:

tubes for door handles - 2 1/2" circ. x 3" long

flat pieces 2 1/2" wide x no more than 12" long

flat pieces 14 1/2"-15" wide x as long as you want (these will be on light poles outside of the library..make them BRIGHT to bring attention to the event)

There is a tree that we're hoping to cover, as well. Any and all flat pieces will be useful. We will sew them together onto the tree that morning.

Email us (bluffsidebombers@gmail.com) for more info or to set up a time for us to get your knitted items.

Thank you!
